Adjetivos comparativos y superlativos

Los adjetivos comparativos y superlativos en inglés se usan cuando comparamos dos cosas u objetos y sus tres grados; positivo comparativo y superlativo. Por ejemplo:

ESTRUCTURA GRAMATICAL:

-Afirmativa

Auxiliar Modal Could (podía, podría).

ESTRUCTURA:

Afirmativa;
Sujeto + could + verbo + complemento.
My grandmother could speak english

Negativa;
Sujeto + (could'not/couldn't) + verbo + complemento
My grandmother could not/ couldn't speak english

Interrogativa;

Could + sujeto + verbo + complemento + ?
Could my grandmother speak enlglish?

Pasado de posibilidad o de habilidad
   
Nosotros utilizamos el auxiliar could para hablar acerca que ocurrió posiblemente en el pasado, que nosotros éramos capaces de hacer o realizar libremente. Usamos could (positivo) y couldn't (negativo) para una habilidad en general en el pasado.
